As part of this study, researchers from Universidad de los Andes, in cooperation with the CoE, designed and implemented a freight generation (FG) and a freight trip generation (FTG) data collection exercise in the main freight corridor of Bogota. The data was analyzed and post processed to estimate FG and FTG models. The resulting models shed light on the factors driving freight demand in the manufacturing industries, allowed to identify differences between FG and FTG patterns, and assess future FTG for the study zone.
